MORGAN'S HALLOWEEN COSTUME

Morgan can not decide what to be for Halloween. I have included a few of my suggestions below. Please feel free to weigh in on the situation.

NURSERY FURNITURE

After a long and extensive search, Morgan and I finally found the nursery furniture that we wanted. It is made by Baby's Dream and is the Next Generation line. It will not be delivered until late January. Here are a few pictures... (We did not get the hutch with the dresser)

HAPPY HALLOWEEN - SORRY

I know, I know, I am a slacker. I have heard it from everyone that I am not updating the blog enough. I promise that I will give some updates soon.

NOT AN UPDATE

I know this is not an update on the baby, but I thought it would be cool to share. This is Morgan and Kayce backstage with Sugarland before the concert. Kayce, you rock. Thank you for taking Morgan with you.

14 WEEK BELLY

I don't know how much longer Morgan is going to let me do belly shots, so enjoy them while you can. This is her 14 week belly. That little Andy Junior is growing leaps and bounds.

PENCIL TEST

I am doomed. We had some friends over for lowcountry boil and football yesterday and the sex of the baby came up. We decided to do the tried and trew pencil test. If you are unfamiliar, that is where you put a needle in the eraser of a pencil and tie the needle to a string. You dangle the pencil over the mother-to-be's belly and watch the direction of movement of the pencil. If the pencil moves in a circular motion over the belly it is a boy, but if it moves in a back-and-forth (pendulum) motion then it is a girl. We tried the test two times and both times the pencil moved in a very definite pendulum motion. I am so doomed. I will not be able to tell a little blond haired, blue eyed girl "no" to anything. Brian Pulaski has already set Keith (his son) up on a date with my daughter. He called me father-in-law and I about threw up. So if anyone knows any other test that may prove the pencil test wrong, please let me know. I am all ears. The 4D ultrasound is not for another month, so I am on pins and needles.

WEEK 13 - NEW DOCTOR

Well we went to our first appointment with the new doctor this morning and LOVED her. It is a small office that does not take on a lot of patients, but delivers at St Francis Hospital. (The one near our house) We felt very comfortable and at ease with the entire staff at her office and the Doctor was quick witted enough to return fire on my jokes. So I think the search is over. You can check out their webpage with the link below.

Baby Update: Cletus the Fetus is doing fine. We did not have an ultrasound today, but we got to hear the heartbeat for the first time. Morgan had a happy cry for the first time in the whole process when she heard the strong heartbeat. The doctor said everyone is happy and healthy and we are on a normal progression. Stay tuned.

LEARING TO BOTTLE FEED

I thought that I should go ahead and start preparing for the baby's arrival by learning the basic skills of fatherhood. Scotch was my victim as I practiced the first skill of bottle feeding. (Don't worry mom, I will not feed my baby beer.) He loved the attention, but I don't think he is ready for the next skill set..... Diaper Changing!!!

Disclaimer: No animals were harmed in the making of this picture. He just went to bed a little earlier than usual.
